---------------------- Some of the nurses who came to help us, they are happy to use their free time than ? watching T.V or sleeping. They refused to take their transport allowances. One of the upper class thanks us to give this opportunity to work in slum areas they ? brought educational books for the children with their own pocket money. Four college girls raised money and brought essential medicines for children and we ? distributed our medical camp. Some of the medical students made a birthday party for 50 children in the slum ? (instead of doing party with their own friends in the college). They sang and dance with them. They brought cakes, snacks and drinks for the children with their own pocket money. Some of the volunteer’s mother contributed money and offered to give classes of ? hygiene and general knowledge for the mothers of the children. Also some volunteers offer their own car for the transport to slums areas on the days ? of vaccination. Generally all the volunteers are happy to give their time for the slum children and they ? are looking forward to do next year with their friends. They all commented they gained more than what they have given to the children and the mothers. We had volunteers from different religion – Hindus, Sikh, Muslims, Christians and ? also atheist. They all respected their own beliefs and work harmoniously. They all felt great doing these wonderful jobs. ---------------------------
